The uss arizona was sunk at 8:10 am on December 7, 1941 by a type 97 japanese bomber.. There was a 800-kg bomb dropped in between the 1st and 2nd turnet and pierced right throught the ship to the artillery shop down below.. With in seconds the ship was in flames, a few minutes later the ship sunk 40 feet to the bottom of the pacific ocean!!! The arizona has a memorial now over the bow of the arizona in the pacific ocean where it was sunk many years ago.
